AERIAL ADVENTURE
AERIAL ADVENTURE- HIGH ADVENTURE CENTRE
Challenge yourself on three separate aerial activities at our purpose built facility:
ZIP LINE - A supervised climb to the platform and attachment to the line makes this a great activity for everyone. Zip down the line in one long photo opportunity.
LEAP OF FAITH - After climbing a pole (with a safety line of course!) you stand on a wooden platform and make your 'Leap of Faith' for a trapeze bar. The great thing about this activity is that we can move the bar as close as you like or as far away as you dare!
ABSEIL - You will first need to scale the ladder in our purpose built climbing wall to get to the access platform to allow you to Abseil, like a pro, down the outside of the building. All the activities are run by qualified instructors at a professional Outdoor Education Centre.
2 hour session: Available Saturday and Sunday (9:30am - 11:30am 12:30pm - 2:30pm, 3pm - 5pm)

ARCHERY & AXE THROWING
ARCHERY & AXE THROWING AT HIGH ADVENTURE
Using our purpose built Archery and Axe Throwing range you will learn how to fire a bow and throw an axe in a safe, professionally instructed environment.
ARCHERY - Starting with the basics you will be taught how to safely load and fire your bow along with safe range practise to collect your arrows. Once you have mastered the basics you will be coached on improving your technique and accuracy to compete against your family/friends in a fun competition.
AXE THROWING - There is a surprising amount of technique involved in axe throwing, yes anyone can pick up an axe and throw it but it's the making it stick in the target at the other end that's the tricky bit. You will learn a single and double handed technique for the throw and progress to getting your distance from target just right to maximise your success rate.

BUSHCRAFT SKILLS WORKSHOP
BUSHCRAFT SKILLS WORKSHOP AT HIGH ADVENTURE
This session takes place in our purpose built outdoor Bushcraft Classroom. This gives us the perfect environment to maximise the time to teach you about the most important aspects of survival - Shelter, Fire, Food and Water. There is a parachute shelter so the rain doesn't bother us and we have a store of dry wood to ensure success in firelighting. All the materials are to hand so we can concentrate on the skills.
SHELTER - Learn about different types of shelter and have a go at building your own.
FIRE - Discover different methods of fire lighting and set your own fire that you will build from a spark.
FOOD & WATER - Understand the dangers of poor decision making in this area and use the fire to brew up some 'bush tea' and make a simple 'bush snack' (for our younger and young at heart participants this could be marshmallows to roast!!

CANOE RAFTS & GIANT SUPS
CANOE RAFTS & GIANT STAND UP PADDLEBOARDING- THE WET ONE!
A fantastic wet session filled with fun and new skills. On arrival at Ponden reservoir you will be kitted out with a buoyancy aid, helmet and paddle then as a team we get the equipment down to the water’s edge ready for your session.
Canadian Canoes - We use Canadian canoes rafted together to form a very stable catamaran to allow you to get straight on the water without worrying about getting soaked right at the beginning of the session. When you have picked up the skills to manoeuvre your craft we’ll introduce some fun games, challenges and of course, races!
Giant SUPS - Our giant stand up paddle boards are a proper laugh, it will of course be everyone else not paddling in time or rocking the board, never you!! While you can stay dry, if you wish, during the canoe-rafts session there is a greater chance of 'going in' in this session but that’s all part of the fun.
There are changing facilities on-site so don't forget your towel and change of clothes. At the end of the session we'll need your help getting the equipment from the water’s edge back to the compound.
3 hour session: Available Saturday and Sunday (1pm-4pm)
