Perfect for Primary Schools
High Adventure, Yorkshire for Primary Schools
We specialise in delivering Primary School outdoor adventure residentials & Adventure Days, with exclusive indoor KS2 Accommodation, tailor made itineraries chosen by you, excellent on-site facilities & local water sports.
Our small & friendly centre offers younger pupils a home from home, with comfortable dorm rooms, private teacher rooms closeby, social spaces, drying rooms, tuck shop & more. Located in the picturesque Yorkshire Dales, we are surrounded by countryside and make the most of what is on the doorstep.
Choose from 30 exciting activities ranging from climbing and high ropes to our popular indoor cave maze (labyrinth) and water sports.
As well as our popular residentials, we also offer Adventure Days for local schools and can provide transport if required.
At High Adventure, we work with you to create your own activity programme so that you get exactly what you want from your trip and can tell pupils in advance what they'll be doing!
With 30 activities available, you'll be spoilt for choice. All activities are delivered by our DBS checked, qualified enthusiastic and professional team of instructors who will give your pupils a fun-filled session that builds confidence and encourages team-work. Below are some of the most popular primary school activities, with plenty more to see on our activity page.
Leap of Faith
Climb up to stand on a platform around 8 metres above the ground, then leap off and catch a bar which is dangling a short distance in front of you. That is the challenge that you face on our leap of faith; you are of course roped on in harness and helmet and therefore safe throughout...
Pupils will explore and learn about the local area. Taking in Earl Crag and the pinnacle monuments, views across The Yorkshire Dales, Lancashire, and Yorkshire, scrambling and weaselling along the rock outcrops...
Exclusive KS2 Accommodation
Offering primary schools a home from home, our building `The Nook` is exclusive to primary schools. Accommodating up to 58 pupils plus staff in comfortable Dormitory Rooms, teachers have separate rooms close by as well as a kitchen and lounge. Children will enjoy social spaces and tuck shop.
We also have a larger, separate building with 93 beds split over 2 floors where groups of 29 or more can have exclusive use of your own floor, which again gives you the space we know KS2 groups want and require on a residential.
Offering plentiful, home cooked meals, we have fantastic on-site catering facilities with a set weekly menu. You can view the menu here. Our wonderful domestic staff are also able to cater to a wide variety of dietary requirements.
If you have special requirements regarding access and mobility, please do get in touch prior to booking to find out how we can assist you with your visit.
Bedding is provided and we also supply water proofs and wet suits as well as access to our large drying room facility.
Exclusive Block for Primary Schools
Our `Nook` Building has been created exclusively for Primary Schools, offering younger children a `home from home` with a relaxed, safe & friendly space to sleep & socialise. Teachers sleep close by in comfortable private rooms, with kitchen access & lounge.
