WHAT IS IT?

A two-day residential road cycling training camp for Youth A, B, C, D and (strong) E BIKE RACERS

The camp will teach riders road etiquette, group riding skills such as 'through and off', chaingang and awareness of hazards. 

WHAT SHOULD YOU EXPECT?

A beasting - two hard days in the Yorkshire Dales aimed at putting you through your paces.

You will be placed in a suitable group to your skills and fitness.

A support vehicle will be on hand at all times to provide for your cycling & other needs.

Time Trial - as always part of the Saturday ride out incorporates our '10 miler' TT.

All costs include:

  • Food and accommodation
  • Vehicular supported rides on both the Saturday & Sunday camp, time trial included.
  • Specific 'Nutrition for Cyclists' session delivered by an industry expert with over 30 years experience and our training camp sponsor: Secret Training who are giving all our riders a 'Secret Training GOODY BAG'
  • Post ride 'minimum bike maintenance' workshop 
  • High Ropes - some challenging team building 
  • The Labyrinth - some light hearted relief 

WHAT DOES IT COST?

£150 - which includes everything. Food, accommodation, training and tonnes and tonnes of fun.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancelations will be refunded if requested at least a week before the event.

WHAT DO YOU NEED?

  • A clean, working bike, helmet and gloves
  • 2 complete sets of cycle clothing and other clothes for down-time and sleeping - the dales weather can be wet 
  • a 'WET BAG' - this is a small bag of emergency extras that we put in the the support vehicle, your road ride maintenance set up - usually a saddle bag, multi tool, pump and inner tube (fear not our support vehicle has better equipment) - we ask you to carry this as part of the training. 
  • Ride out nutrition - these are your own personal 'snicky snacks'.
  • A POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE - this is a smile on your face, a steely resolve, a never say die approach and an abillity to go in to your personal RED ZONE. 

Room Allocation

Young riders will share rooms with others of a similar age and gender.

Any parents staying will share a room with another parent of the same gender (other than couples).

OPTIONS FOR PARENTS

You can either drop your young rider and go (have the weekend off) or you can stay at the centre (the cost is £80 - 2 nights accommodation, breakfast on Sat & Sun, packed lunch on Sat & Sun and evening meal on Sat) and enjoy the Dales - ride out yourself, visit the area for sight seeing, walking or whatever floats your boat.
